Uploading to Stamps2Go

The normal way to list a stamp for sale at Stamps2Go is by clicking "Sell a Stamp" from the main menu, and entering the information about the item for sale. However, if you have numerous items to list, and you already have them stored in some type of database, it may be more convenient to upload your item information in a file.

Stamps2Go allows you to upload item information from a comma-delimited (CSV) file. This is done by selecting "Sell a Stamp" from the main menu at the top of the page, then clicking the "Upload CSV File" button on the item entry screen. You will be asked to provide the name of the file on your computer to upload.

The CSV file format we expect is compatible with, and may be generated by Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet and database programs. For example, if your stamp listing is entered into an Excel spreadsheet, you could select "Save As" from the Excel "File" menu, and pick "CSV" file as the file type. The rules for this format are as follows:

Allowable Topics

Our topic list will change from time to time as new categories are added, so we do not present a fixed list of topics here. Instead, you may view the current allowable topics by logging in to Stamps2Go, clicking "Sell a Stamp", and viewing the entries in the "Topic" dropdown box on the entry screen.

When entering the topic category in your CSV file, you must enter the full text of the topic and sub-topics, separated by colons. For example, the topic for a stamp depicting an animal that is not described by a more detailed sub-topic would be "Animals". The topic for a bird that is not described by a more detailed sub-topic would be "Animals:Birds". And the topic for a duck would be "Animals:Birds:Ducks".
