Featured Items at Stamps2Go

Sellers may elect to "Feature" a sale item so that it appears randomly at the right side of the  Stamps2Go listing page with a thumbnail image. An item may be "Featured" when it is originally listed, or an existing item may be updated to be a "Featured Item".

A featured item fee is charged to your Stamps2Go account when you first elect to "Feature" an item. The item will remain a featured item until a set number of "Feature clicks" occur, or until it is sold. A "Feature click" is when a user or browser at Stamps2Go clicks on the featured item and views the item detail screen for the item. See the seller Fee Schedule for the current feature item fee, and the number of "Feature clicks" that are provided.

Requirements for Featured Items

• A featured item must include an image.
• You may not elect to "Feature" an item if there are insufficient funds in your Stamps2Go account.
• Items may not be featured when they are uploaded in a CSV file. However, they may be manually updated to be a featured item.

The requirement for an existing balance in your Stamps2Go account is making sure that this feature is only available to established sellers (since the only way you can get funds in your account is by selling an item).

How Featured Items are Displayed

Featured items are displayed in a column at the right side of the Stamps2Go listing page. Each featured item includes a thumbnail image of the item, the price, and a description. When a user clicks on the featured item, the item detail screen is displayed and he has the option of adding the item to his shopping cart.

Featured items are "targeted" to match the search parameters of the current listing. In other words, in order for a featured item to be selected for display, it must match the search criteria used to generate the listing. For example, only French featured items will be displayed if the user is viewing a listing for France. Only air mail featured items will be displayed if the user is viewing air mail stamps. If no featured items match the search criteria, then the listing page will not show any featured items.

Featured items are chosen randomly from the pool of all featured items that match the search criteria of the listing. The default Stamps2Go listing page shows 20 items for sale and up to 4 featured items at the right side. The display frequency for an individual featured item will depend on how many featured items match the search criteria. If a user is viewing a broad listing such as "all United States stamps", a specific featured item may only appear occasionally. However, if the user is viewing a more targeted listing like "United States air mail stamps priced less than $1.00", a featured item may show up frequently. If the number of featured items matching the search criteria is 4 or less, all of the featured items will be displayed on every listing page.

Life of a Featured Item

Once elected to be a featured item, the item will remain featured until a set number of "Feature Clicks" is received, or until the item is purchased. If the quantity available for the item is greater than one, the item will remain featured until the quantity available reaches zero, or until it receives all of its "Feature Clicks". A "Feature Click" is recorded whenever a user of the Stamps2Go website clicks on the featured item, causing the item detail page to be displayed. "Feature Clicks" are not recorded under the following circumstances:

• No "Feature Click" is charged if the seller of an item clicks on his own featured item. (Note: you must be logged in for this exclusion to apply.)
• No "Feature Click" is charged if the webmaster clicks on a featured item.
• No "Feature Click" is charged for duplicate clicks on a featured item. In other words, if the same item is chosen repeatedly, without viewing a different item in between, the repeated clicks are not charged

Featured Item Reporting and Notification

When you elect to "Feature" a sale item, your Stamps2Go account is charged immediately when the item is saved. You will receive an E-mail from Stamps2Go informing you of the charge to your Stamps2Go account.

You may view all of your featured items from the "My Account" page by clicking the "View Featured Items" button. This will display a listing of your featured items showing how many "Feature Clicks" are remaining for each item.
